Executive Director, Governance, Risk, Compliance and CybersecurityOmar Muhammad bin Al-Hussein Al-Sharif has served as the CEO of the Governance, Risk, Compliance & Cybersecurity Dept at HRDF.
His responsibilities include overseeing the HRDF's governance in accordance with international standards, regulations, and laws as well as developing policies and risk management methodologies and tools. He also creates and reviews business continuity plans, along with providing guidance and consultations in the line with higher directives. Additionally, he develops and implements periodic cybersecurity and information security audit plans to ensure compliance with relevant policies.
Since 2003, Mr. Al-Sharif has gained practical experience in many fields, including the banking sector and the corporate sector. Upon joining HRDF in 2013, he served as advisor to the Fund's General Director, supervised several departments, and served on internal and external committees.
Academically, Mr. Al-Sheriff holds a master’s degree in Commercial Law and a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He has also completed extensive training and certification programs, including courses in leadership, financial accounting, project management (PMP), as well as CME 1 and CME 2 licenses from the Capital Market Authority.
