Thamer Misfer Al-Wadai
Executive Director of Internal AuditMr. Thamer Al-Wadai has served as the Executive Director of Internal Audit since 2021. He leads the development of the internal audit function in alignment with the latest international standards, aiming to enhance compliance and improve institutional performance efficiency.
Mr. Al-Wadai possesses extensive experience in internal audit, risk management, and governance, having held several senior leadership roles, including General Manager of Internal Audit at the Saudi Customs Authority, Program Director of Internal Audit at the National Commercial Bank (NCB – formerly Samba), and Chief Audit Executive at American Express. He has also served as a board and committee member in various organizations.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and several advanced professional certifications, including Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
