Employment of 267,000 Citizens in the Private Sector
The Human Resources Development Fund announced that it has contributed to the employment of 267,000 male and female citizens in private sector establishments during the first half of 2025, achieving a growth rate of 74% compared to the same period in 2024. This comes as part of HRDF’s strategic role in supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Labor Market Strategy.
More than 1.45 million beneficiaries have also benefited from HRDF’s training, empowerment, and guidance programs and services, thereby enhancing the readiness, competitiveness, and sustainability of national cadres in the labor market.
The results for the first half showed an increase in the number of establishments benefiting from HRDF services, with the number exceeding 136,000 establishments, representing a growth rate of 36%. Medium, small, and micro enterprises accounted for 94% of this total, reflecting the Fund’s vital role in enabling and supporting the growth and stability of the private sector.
The total amount spent on training, empowerment, and guidance support programs during the same period exceeded 3.77 billion riyals, indicating a sustainable national investment in human capital development.
HRDF Director General, Mr. Turki bin Abdullah Al-Jawini, emphasized that these results reflect the continuation of HRDF’s journey in leading the transformation of the Saudi labor market by qualifying, developing, and empowering national talents and connecting them to high-quality opportunities in promising sectors, in support of localization goals and sustainable economic development.
He pointed out that the increase in the number of individual and establishment beneficiaries reflects HRDF’s central role in meeting the national economy’s needs for qualified cadres, strengthening its integrated partnerships with various public and private entities, and contributing to accelerating economic diversification.
Al-Jawini concluded by stressing that HRDF will continue its efforts to foster national human capabilities and expand its impact on the labor market to fulfill the wise leadership’s aspirations to build a competitive, thriving, and sustainable economy.
