Contributing to the Employment -143,000- Citizens in Q1 2025
The Human Resources Development Fund revealed that it contributed to the employment of 143,000 male and female citizens through its programs in private sector establishments during the first quarter of the current year (2025), marking a growth rate of 93% compared to the first quarter of 2024.
The number of beneficiaries of HRDF’s training, empowerment, and guidance services and programs during the first quarter reached 1.18 million male and female beneficiaries, a growth rate of 4% compared to the same period last year. The number of benefiting establishments exceeded 98,000 across various labor market sectors and regions of the Kingdom, with a growth rate of 37% compared to the same period of the previous year; 93% of them were medium, small, and micro enterprises. The total amount spent on training, empowerment, and guidance support programs during the first quarter reached 1.83 billion riyals.
HRDF’s Director General, Mr. Turki bin Abdullah Al-Jawini, said: “The Fund operates under an effective partnership with various public and private sectors to support and empower the sons and daughters of our nation in obtaining job opportunities in the labor market,” noting that the Fund has undergone many transformations driven by the wise leadership’s keenness to invest in human capital.
He pointed out that the growing number of beneficiaries whose employment has been supported through training, empowerment, and guidance programs and services, both individuals and private sector establishments, comes within HRDF’s efforts to meet the changing needs and requirements of the labor market, improve its efficiency, keep pace with developments, consider priority economic sectors, and develop targeted training, empowerment, and career guidance programs for national cadres in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Labor Market Strategy.
