Launch Comprehensive Career Guidance Initiative
In alignment with the objectives of the Human Capability Development Program, one of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 programs, and as part of efforts to enhance the readiness and competitiveness of national talent in the labor market, His Excellency Eng. Ahmed Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), launched the Comprehensive Career Guidance Initiative.
The launch took place on 26 January, on the sidelines of the Global Labor Market Conference (GLMC) in its third edition held in Riyadh, in the presence of Mr. Turki Abdullah Al-Jawini, Director-General of HRDF, and Mr. Anas Al-Mudaifer, Chief Executive Officer of the Human Capability Development Program.
The Comprehensive Career Guidance Initiative is the first initiative of its kind globally, bringing together all career guidance services within a unified digital ecosystem. It enables beneficiaries to identify suitable career pathways by offering advanced services, including labor market insights, career and specialization exploration, and access to educational and training opportunities, supported by modern digital and analytical technologies.
The Director-General of HRDF emphasized that the initiative reflects the Fund’s commitment to raising development and success indicators among national talent and strengthening alignment between education outcomes and labor market needs. He noted that HRDF’s role extends beyond upskilling the current workforce to proactive collaboration with schools and universities to prepare future generations with the skills required to meet evolving labor market demands.
He added that the initiative aims to serve more than one million beneficiaries, leveraging artificial intelligence technologies, career interest and skills assessments, and personalized guidance sessions delivered by certified specialists to support individuals in identifying optimal career pathways.
Furthermore, the initiative targets middle and high school students, vocational trainees, university students, recent graduates, employees, career counselors, and independent practitioners, while also providing supportive guidance content for parents to assist them in mentoring their children professionally.
Meanwhile, the career guidance is a cornerstone of national human capital development in the Kingdom, contributing to informed career choices, skills development, and increased employment opportunities for citizens.
