As part of the Human Resources Development Fund’s efforts to strengthen specialized training partnerships, HRDF Director General Mr. Turki bin Abdullah Al-Jawini visited the Saudi Arabian Drilling Academy in Buqayq on Monday. He was received by the Academy’s CEO, Mr. Faisal bin Hussein Al-Deihani, along with several Academy leaders. The visit aimed to explore areas of joint cooperation in qualifying and empowering national cadres to work in the drilling sector, a vital sector that constitutes a key pillar of the national economy.
During the tour, His Excellency reviewed the training programs offered by the Academy, which include: drilling machine operator, drilling technician, diploma in chemical drilling laboratory, drilling fluids, and drilling operations, under the umbrella of the National Center for Strategic Partnerships.
The Academy is among the entities benefiting from HRDF’s support under the Strategic Partnerships Institutes Support Program since 2017, with the total number of supported trainees so far reaching 632.
This visit reflects HRDF’s keenness to support vocational qualification programs that help raise the efficiency of national human capital and meet labor market needs in priority sectors, in line with Saudi Vision 2030’s goals of empowering the national workforce and building a sustainable knowledge-based economy.
