The National Labor Observatory organizes a workshop on international best practices in cooperation with the World Bank
The National Labor Observatory (NLO), in cooperation with the World Bank in Riyadh, organized a workshop entitled: (Exploring the best practices of labor market observatories), sponsored by His Excellency the Director General of the Human Resources Development Fund, Mr. Turki bin Abdullah Al-Jaouini; In the presence of a number of fund leaders, representatives of government agencies, and experts and specialists from the World Bank.
The workshop is held within the framework of the strategic partnership between the National Labor Observatory and the World Bank, which is based on a number of research visits, training courses, joint workshops, etc. This is in order to enhance knowledge of the Saudi labor market, and learn about the most important elements of success and international best practices, which contribute to strengthening the role of the National Observatory to serve as a major and reliable source of labor market data and insights in the Kingdom.
The workshop was opened with a speech by His Excellency the Director General of the Fund; In it, he stressed the importance of cooperation between the National Labor Observatory and the World Bank, strengthening the strategic partnership between the two parties, and promoting and disseminating best international practices. And contribute to the development and growth of the market. He added: “Through our partnership with the World Bank, we look forward to benefiting from international experiences in developing human capital, improving development opportunities, and harnessing capabilities in line with the Fund’s ambitious strategy to empower national forces and stimulate the private sector.”
The workshop discussed a number of main topics about the structure and governance of market observatories, the most advanced methodologies used in collecting, analyzing and preparing reports on labor market data, and ways to benefit from them, in addition to presenting the Saudi experience of the National Labor Observatory and learning about the best leading international experiences in this field, specifically in the United States. America and Australia.
It is noteworthy that this workshop was enriched by more than 10 international experts and specialists in various economic fields related to the labor market.
