Students Discover the Suitable Academic Path in Jazan Encounters
Student Mohammed Majrashi is making great efforts to achieve a high score in high school exams, aptitude tests, and achievement tests. However, he realizes that a bigger challenge lies in the confusion of choosing the most suitable academic path and the college he should join.
Like many male and female students, he did not hesitate to attend the workshop organized by the Human Resources Development Fund at Jazan University as part of Jazan Encounters, which began on Monday and will continue for three days.
The workshop, titled “How to Discover Your University Major,” received great attention from high school male and female students in the Jazan region, with the university theater fully packed with students eager to explore their future careers.
The workshop focused on the importance of linking personal interest and professional ability when choosing an appropriate university major. It also presented tools and methods to identify the personal traits of each student and how to leverage these traits in choosing the professional specialty that matches their personality type.
The workshop emphasized that choosing a university major must be a well-considered decision, based on careful study of the student’s abilities and interests, as well as awareness of the future requirements of the labor market. The speakers encouraged attendees to benefit from the workshop to make the right decisions that will lead them to success in their professional lives.
One of the participating students said: “I benefited greatly from this workshop. It helped me understand myself better, and I learned about many majors that I didn’t know about before. I now feel more confident in choosing the university major that suits me.”
For her part, one of the female students expressed her happiness in participating in the workshop, saying: “The workshop was very useful, and I hope more events like this will be organized to help students plan their professional future.”
