Fund Empowers 147,000 Individuals in Tourism Sector with 851Million
In continuation of its pivotal role in empowering human capital and supporting promising economic sectors with national talent, the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) — through its strategic partnership with the tourism sector — has contributed to employing 147,000 Saudi men and women in the sector from 2020 until the end of the first half of 2025.
During this period, the Fund worked to strengthen and build the capabilities of national cadres by signing 19 specialized training agreements linked to employment in this vital sector, with a total investment exceeding 851 million Saudi Riyals. These agreements aimed to train more than 8,450 national talents. Additionally, the employment sustainability rate among beneficiaries supported by the Fund in the tourism sector rose to 75%, reflecting the quality and effectiveness of the Fund’s training programs and their alignment with the sector’s needs.
The Fund’s programs have further empowered the tourism sector and enhanced its human capabilities by supporting 22 professional certification programs in specialized tourism fields, and launching 12 specialized e-learning courses on the Doroob platform. Moreover, the Fund increased the support rate provided to establishments operating in several tourism-related activities under the Employment Support Program, covering 50% of the employee’s wage, with a monthly cap of 3,000 Saudi Riyals.
