Empowering 74,000 in the Transport and Logistics Sector
Continuing its efforts to build sustainable human capabilities and support the goals of Vision 2030 in empowering key economic sectors, HRDF’s strategic partnership with the transport and logistics sector contributed to the employment of 74,000 male and female citizens between 2020 and the first half of 2025.
During this period, HRDF signed 12 specialized training agreements linked to employment in the sector. The support amounts allocated to these partnerships exceeded 500 million riyals, targeting the training of approximately 2,000 citizens. The retention rate of HRDF-supported employees in the sector rose to 78%.
HRDF’s efforts in empowering the transport and logistics sector also included supporting several professional certifications in specialized sector fields and increasing the level of support for certain sector professions under the “Employment Support” product, enabling cost coverage of up to 50% of an employee’s wage, with a maximum of 3,000 riyals. Around 4,000 citizens have benefited from on-the-job training products in the sector.
These results reflect HRDF’s strategic role in empowering the Saudi labor market and steering it toward high-value and promising sectors. They also highlight its ongoing efforts to build sustainable national human capabilities that guarantee the Kingdom’s long-term economic growth and create national generations capable of innovation and keeping up with future jobs.
Moreover, they underscore HRDF’s central role in supporting the development and sustainability of the Saudi economy and supplying new and promising economic sectors with qualified national cadres, thereby accelerating economic diversification and supporting the implementation of major projects and development and economic programs under Vision 2030 and its targets for a sustainable and prosperous economic future.
