Launching New Update for the Employment Support Product

The Human Resources Development Fund has launched new updates to the application controls for the employment support product provided to private sector establishments in the Kingdom, based on the Fund’s new strategy to enhance the sustainability of national human resources in the labor market and in continuation of supporting and empowering various business sectors.

The Fund indicated that the new updates in the controls of the employment support product included raising the minimum wage that is supported by the employment support product to be 4,000 riyals instead of 3,200 riyals.

In addition to canceling the grace period requirement for submitting a support request in the employment support product within the first 120 days from the date of the employee’s registration in Social Insurance, and allowing the facility to submit a support request 90 days after the employee’s registration in Social Insurance (after the end of the trial period), and the facility will bear the employee’s full wage. During the first 3 months of his appointment (the first 90 days from the date of the employee’s registration in Social Insurance), provided that the application period for the employment support product is from the 91st day to the 180th day from the date of the employee’s registration in Social Insurance.

In addition, the Fund will not be able to accept support requests after 180 days have passed from the employee’s registration in Social Insurance, explaining that the updates in the controls apply to new support requests for the employment support product starting from September 5, 2023 AD, while support continues to be disbursed to the currently supported beneficiaries according to Previous controls.

It is noteworthy that the Fund has launched its new strategy, which comes in response to the changes and challenges of the labor market and improving its efficiency, keeping pace with developments and taking into account the needs and priorities related to the sectors, and developing programs and products to support training, employment and empowerment directed to national cadres in line with and contribute to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the labor market strategy.
