The Human Resources Development Fund and King Saud University hold a press conference to highlight the career counselors rehabilitation program
The Human Resources Development Fund, in partnership with King Saud University, held a press conference to shed light on the career counselors qualification program, which will be launched next Sunday at Al-Murabba Theater in Al-Arid Hall at the university's headquarters in Riyadh.
The press conference was attended by Mr. Abdullah Al-Hussein, supervisor of the vocational guidance program at the Human Resources Development Fund, and Dr. Anas Al-Shaalan, general supervisor of the project to qualify vocational counselors at King Saud University.
The Career Counselors Qualification Program is the first of its kind in the Kingdom with regard to vocational guidance, as it aims to improve and develop national competencies in the educational sector, and contribute to the employment of national cadres in the field of business in various disciplines, in addition to strengthening the aspect of community participation in the business sector. The program aims to achieve one of the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 through the development of human capabilities.
The mentors rehabilitation program includes a number of preliminary workshops targeting employees of the government, private and non-profit sectors and those interested in career guidance. The program seeks to raise awareness of the importance of career guidance and provide the participants with the necessary information.
For his part, Mr. Abdullah Al-Hussein, supervisor of the vocational guidance program at the Human Resources Development Fund, stressed the Fund's pioneering and leadership role in the importance of qualifying career advisors to contribute to raising Saudi human capabilities and enabling them to achieve their professional goals.
Al-Hussein stressed the importance of promoting local content in vocational guidance through partnership with King Saud University, where certificates and academic degrees will be developed in vocational guidance, indicating that this will be done through partnerships with the educational and vocational sectors and training of counselors in various sectors to raise the productivity and ability of Saudis in Labor market.
